30 Hour famine – update 3
just finished out 2nd tribe game.
starting to look tired. crawling all over the ground and trying to build livable structures out of straws and tape really brought some perspective to students.
once last game then bed time. i’ll try to post pics while the students are winding down for bed~

we’ve got over 60 people here:)
what an amazing night so far. all the churches have mixed well and seem to really be getting along. what a great picture of the Church and what can happen when we come together for the sake of making a difference for Christ.
everyone’s looking good…no one really seems to be that hungry yet. i imagine it’ll be in a couple hours that it really kicks in. the morning will probably be tough.
a couple games so far and great discussions. look for pics on line soon~
30 Hour famine – update 1
everyone who’s participating in the has already begun to feel the starts of hunger and it’s effects. i’ve already gotten calls about sickness, headaches, and all that fun stuff.
i’m in the headache world right now, but i’m so excited about what God has in store for us~

18+ lives changed
today i counted up all our donations so far for our 30 hour famine. i’ve received 16 packets…that’s of 40+ everyone took.
with those 16 alone, we’ve raised enough money ($6627.31) to support just over 18 kids for an entire year!
our jr high girls amazed me…you guys raised over $2250 between 5 of you!! that’s an average of $450 a student!! that’s caring for more than a child a year! thank you soo much for allowing God to use you gals and i’m so proud of you!
if you still have packets out there PLEASE get them to me tonight!!
