Thanks to Parents

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

i just wanted to send a quick thanks to all the parents out there who came out last sunday night to our parents meeting.  it was such a blessing to be with you and spend some time praying with you.  i can’t begin to express my joy at knowing that we are all on the same page when it comes to seeing our kids grow to look like Christ:)

as soon as we fix some web issues we’re having , i’ll have the parents handout up for you.  if you would like me to send it to you via email, please contact me via the contact page and i’ll get it out to you right away.

be on the look out as well for a volunteer section coming soon!  i love the idea of us all working together and having different ways we can all unite to help serve.

Kick-off!

here we go!!!!

kickoff for LHCyouth is tonight at 6pm! i don’t know about you but i’m feeling super excited about getting rolling again together. don’t forget to keep an eye on our calendar to find out what’s happening and what’s coming up!

Retreat season

so we’re officially there…

had a GREAT retreat with our jr highers at lake champion!

we just had so much fun on such a beautiful weekend.  70’s all the time and shorts were def in order! with great messages from jeff, worship from the FAC worship band, and lots of talk about the BIGNESS of God’s love for us…it was an unbeatable weekend. thank you so much for your prayers…

and now we’re all about getting ready for our sr high trip this weekend!  we’re looking into the 80’s for temp this weekend…that means all our sweet dodgeball uniforms will be well used;)  i’m really looking forward to hearing the messages from josh mann, worshipping with our sr highers, and small group times this weekend.

please pray for us as we leave at 5pm on friday and return at 330pm on sunday.  pray for safety driving up, safety while we’re up there, and sweet times with our Savior Jesus.

Dodgeball Night!

it’s finally here…our night of fun with stonecrest community church from warren, nj. they challenged us to a “friendly” night of dodgeball and of course we kindly accepted:)

we’ve all been pretty excited about the idea of owning up on another group, but honestly, i think the best part will be everyone hanging out together laughing and playing together. it’s really a joy to know that we are all one family under Christ…and that’s worth celebrating!

can’t wait for a great night!

Parables 2009

praise God for a beautiful weekend! i hope and pray you enjoyed it as much as i did. i can’t even begin to tell you how excited i am about spring coming…MUST.PLAY.OUTSIDE!!!!

for our jr highers, we actually got to get out since it was light outside (thank daylight savings time!). after an intense game of lighting ball (and handball for our sr highers), we rallied the troops to dive into our newest series:

parables2009

we hit up the lost chapter of the Bible: Luke 15; the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son (the prodigal son).  after looking at all the stories we can come to the conclusion that we are all worth pursuing, have value, and should celebrate when the lost is found.

i referenced (in sr high) a book that has highly influenced my journey with Jesus and this parable.  the book is called “The Return of the Prodigal Son” by Henri Nouwen.  i would HIGHLY suggest this anyone at any point in their journey with God…it’s sooo awesome.  if you end reading, lemme know…i’d love to chat with you about it!
