Ensenada Day 1

well, folks…it’s in the books! we arrived yesterday and praise God we didn’t lose anyone! our team is excited and looking a touch winded. i’m sitting just post breakfast and they are looking all pretty and ready for church. by the time you read this, church will have already happened for you…pray for us:)

here’s our team, minus sean rogers…he bailed on the pic for some reason.

we got across the border with no issues. everything was sweet and easy. the ride was INCREDIBLE! scenery like you’ve never believed it. we’re talking about 2+ hours of a pacific ocean view. windows open with a cool salty breeze coming in…i could totally get used to that! Rick and Tammie have been wonderful:) a giant blessing to our group and all those around. we even went to get some sweet tacos last night.

i saw that the line for the carna asada tacos was uber long so i opted for the pork tacos. oh.my.gosh. after i waited 5 minutes in line (place was PACKED!) i came up to this guy:

pork taco

next thing you know this guys busts out a 2 foot knife and starts slicing away at GIANT pieces of pork. as he’s slicing sweet juicy morsels of ham are falling onto my freshly hearted tortilla. this was a beautiful moment:) after a bit of onion, cilantro, and a touch of local hot sauce i was ready to enjoy 2 flavor filled all-natural tacos! i’ve never had such good tacos in my life, so good i went for another!

this morning we got up, shaved so we all have mustaches.  we’ll post pics soon!

so we’re just about off to church…we’ll keep you posted:)
